first_img Authorities View post tag: Strait View post tag: Hormuz January 3, 2012 Share this article Iran’s Deputy Navy Commander Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi stressed that Iran will not neglect its territorial rights at the strategic Strait of Hormuz waterway and has no intention to obstruct maritime shipping in the area.He added that Iran has a particular interest and concern in the area and that reciprocal measures will be taken in case any effort is made to harm the interests of the Islamic Republic in the area.The Iranian commander stressed that the intention is to ensure sustainable security in the Strait of Hormuz.
