Nadal pulled out of the tournament following his struggles with a knee injury.Austrian fourth seed Thiem will next play Goffin for the other semi-final place on Friday.After his match, Thiem was very pleased to secure his first victory at the tournament. He said: “It was a really, really tight match.”“I think he took the place of Rafa very well, a very tough three-setter. I’m pleased to be through, got very very tight at the end.” he further stated.It would be the turn of the Boris Becker Group on Thursday with tennis legend Roger Federer taking on Marin Cilic of Croatia while Alexander Zverev and Jack Sock will face each other to determine who joins Federer in the semifinal.
