The Soccer Mountaineers (Nimba United) have begun preparations for the 2016 Liberia Football Association (LFA) National League.The former LFA First Division Champions training is at the Northstar Stadium in Mount Barclay, Montserrado County. United have attracted huge support from residents of Mount Barclay and surrounding towns since the construction of the Northstar Stadium and hundreds of them are expected to watch the team’s regular training sessions.The North Star Stadium is in full readiness for the training, according to the club’s management team. There is a gymnasium attached to the stadium for physical workouts.As part of the modernization plans of the stadium, there is also ongoing construction of apartments for coaches and foreign players.The Mountaineers appointed Emmanuel Kaykay as their new boss earlier this month and the strongman is expected to enjoy an exciting ride in preparation for the league.The young tactician has already expressed his delight over the caliber of players in the rank of the club, and has also made it known that there is a need for additional players.Coach Kaykay said he would maintain the club’s attacking philosophy, meaning the traditional 4-3-3 formation will remain.Meanwhile team manager Weah Wesseh told journalists Tuesday that most of the club’s key players are excited about the team’s future.According to him the local league top-rated goalkeeper and team vice-captain Emmanuel Deanneh is focusing on team play for the season.Deanneh has since established himself as a future national team goalkeeper with his magnificent performance in the local league earning him a place in the U-20 national team.All-time goal-scorer Kossi Adetu as well as defensive players Prince Wilson, Edward Dean, Michael Testimony Fahnbulleh, Phil Kawee and Joseph Dennis and second choice goalkeeper Edmond Borloh are in readiness, for the team’s campaign for honors this season.The midfield collection of Winston Nenneh, Darlington Philips, Erastu Wee, Mustapha Lomell, Stanley Whitfield among others, are also expected to form part.Weah also announced that Sierra Leonean duos Larmin Janneh and Foday Somah are still on holidays as the club is continuing negotiations with them over a new loan deal.Skipper Titus Cooper and midfielder Barbu Kollie as well as Patrick Singbeh are all expected to be missing. Currently, the 147,000 dwt Beothuk Spirit, which flies the flag of Canada, has a market value of USD 104.61 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.Named in August this year, the three newbuildings will provide crude transportation services in East Coast Canada.Beothuk Spirit’s sister vessels, Norse Spirit and Dorset Spirit, are scheduled for delivery in November 2017 and in early 2018, respectively.The 75,000 gross ton vessels will operate at Hibernia, Terra Nova, White Rose and Hebron offshore oil fields located in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.The tankers will replace two in-charters and one owned vessel currently servicing a 15-year, plus extension options, contract with a group of companies that includes Chevron Canada, Exxon Mobil, Husky Energy, Mosbacher Operating, Murphy Oil, Nalcor Energy, Statoil and Suncor Energy.
